Early Life
The renaissance time period began during the 14th century and ended late 15th or early 16th century. Religion was important during this time period.

Christianity was the main religion in the renaissance time period. Christianity impacted everyone's life whether it was by their beliefs or what they did. Churches were available at this time and people were constantly there whether it was because of the art or " the beauty" of their religion, as they call it. To add to the importance of religion, many of the artists during this time period were influenced by christianity and represented it in their art.
Society
The society itself was ranked on a social scale that seperated the poor from the rich, and people with money had the greater advantage. The resources available were man-made. Food was available the very basics were soup, bread, and vegetables. There wasn't a lot of meat available in this time period so if you were able to actually afford it you have to be rich since it was rare. People who were rich or on the higher scale often had feasts with exotic foods and wine. People who were merchants and in between the scale often ate a mixture from the low and higher sides of the scale. With the different sides of society it affected the wardrobe and living situations for everyone. The lower class had very thin clothes with barely any fabric and the housing for them were decent if they were able to afford it. People in the higher class often had custom made clothes from fine fabrics and lived in good housing.

Art/ Architecture
This was the time period where art became life. People expressed themselves and their culture through it. Musicians, poets, constructors, and painters all existed in this time period. Many of the artists we know today like, Leonardo Da Vinci painted and was born in the renaissance time period. The architecture of the buildings and homes were incredible. The building and constructing during this time period often took years. The buildings that we see today from the renaissance time period are made out of marble and stone. The details like arches, domes and columns were used constantly in the renaissance. Many philosophers and architects made beautiful buildings we see today. But more realistically, buildings and houses back then were made out of wood and stone for the lower class. They were not advanced meaning they didn't have bathrooms or running water. People often had to live with horrific smells due to the lack of clean water and supplies to smell good.
All of the cities like Italy, Rome and Greece had artists located in them. Music always filled the streets, people were expressing their love for one another through poems.

The image above is a painting done by Master of the Female Half Lengths. The painting is of three female musicians during the renaissance time periods.
"During the Renaissance one of the main forms of entertainment was music and dance. Music became a part of everyday life as people began to play music and sing for enjoyment. They experimented with new types of instruments and combinations of voices. Music was both an art form and a form of entertainment." As you can see entertainment was big in this time period. It made people happy and kept them busy.
Knowledge
Many inventing took place in the renaissance time. People were constantly finding knew ways to think and process things. Numerous philosophers were big at this time. For example, Marsilio Ficino was a priest and philosopher at the time. He bought many thoughts and ideas about astrology and was ahead academically. Some of the things invented during this time period was a printing press, a telescope and clocks. The printing press was needed to make writing and copying easier for people.
